Former New York Giants wide receiver Plaxico Burress may not have a home to return to in Florida, once he emerges from prison. The jailed Super Bowl hero and his wife were hit with a $3.3 million foreclosure lawsuit on Jan. 22 from Deutsche Bank National Trust Co., as a trustee for a mortgage-backed securities fund, according to Broward County Circuit Court records. In media interviews since his imprisonment, Burress said he would like to return to the NFL once he is out of prison sometime in 2011 but it is not clear if that would be soon enough to save his home.

Damn, never want to see people losing their house.

...and to think the Giants at one point offered him a way to keep all his money if he just humbled himself a little bit, but he turned that down.

I kinda have no problem seeing rich STUPID athletes lose their house. Especially with what you said. I'll never understand it...it all doesn't happen with better and with what I would think, easy decisions.

I've made my share of heck ups while I've been on this planet, but I've never come close to shooting myself.

And I've been around a LOT of guns.

As a famous American thought-leader from Greenbow, Alabama said. "Stupid is as stupid does."

If he had an ounce of common sense he wouldn't be in this situation regardless of what the Giants offered and he turned down. You're talking about a person who had already made tens of millions of dollars in his career before this incident, if he had managed to save a quarter of it instead of blowing it all like an butthole, he should have been able to take care of all his expenses/bills while he was locked up and still have a few mil when he walked out. It never ceases to amaze me how much money these stupid kids get handed to them to play a game, and how recklessly irresponsible a lot of them are with it.
