ESPN's Adam Schefter expects quarterback Bruce Gradkowski to be the Raiders' starter in 2010. In his four starts last season, Gradkowski put up 211.0 passing yards per game and tossed six touchdowns. Schefter guesses that the Raiders will draft another quarterback and use JaMarcus Russell as a backup in 2010. Source: Sporting News
WHY?!? Why would you want to have a first overall pick be a back-up QB. A back-up QB with a 6 years 61 Millions with 32 guarantee?? I feel really bad for the Raider fans. Its a shame!
Because that first round pick threw 11 INT to only 2 TDs. He's a terrible player with a terrible work ethic that needs to ride the bench. They can't do anything about his contract situation without eating a crapton of money. I could care less when he was selected, he hasn't proved at all that he could be a starter
If Russell is not getting the job done, it doesn't matter how much money he's making or has guaranteed in his contract. Russell has shown time and time again that he has been a bad investment for the Raiders and the stats speak for themself.
Russell is a total clown and a sorry excuse for a quarterback. I could see Al Davis stepping in and wanting JaMarcus to start.
FAIRLY nutty? Saying Al Davis is fairly nutty is like saying the World Trade Centers just got a trim off the top.
What i meant was how can you have a back up QB making more money than the starting QB it makes no sense from my point of view when you draft a player in the top 10 he should be ready to be thrown into the game right away. In my mind top 10 draft picks are suppose to be the most NFL ready. Cut your lost and get rid of that bum!!!!! I know he hasn't proved to be as started, which is why i think he should be cut now before Al Davis has to pay him his rooster bonus
Okay, that's a better question, I thought you seriously were trying to say J'Bust should start because of his paycheck
