Eagles head coach Andy Reid indicated at Tuesday's press conference that running back LeSean McCoy "will take the ball from here" following Brian Westbrook's release. McCoy will be the Eagles' feature back in 2010, with fullback Leonard Weaver chipping in. Free Agent's LaDainian Tomlinson and Chester Taylor have already been rumored to complement McCoy, and Thomas Jones could also be an option if he's released by the Jets. Source: Sporting News
Westbrook V2 is next at the plate. I heard he bulked up to about 215+ pounds during the offseason. He should be ready to handle the full load without sacrificing much speed.
Eagles do need a Vet RB as the number 2 guy to take some pressure off Shady McCoy. Luckily guys like Sproles, C. Taylor, L.Johnson
This could be the change required for the eagles to actually start to run the ball. Maybe all these changes will create a new Era or younger players with different skills
Ha ha! I wish! Maybe they can go back to the Westbrook/Staley/Buckhalter system where they actually ran the ball efficiently
