Cardinals To Sign A Veteran QB To Compete With Matt Leinart?

Discussion in 'Arizona Cardinals' started by BigBlueBruiser, Feb 23, 2010.

  1. Cardinals Matt Leinart is the only quarterback under contract. The team would like to re-sign Brian St. Pierre, who is trying to overcome back problems. Kent Somers of The Arizona Republic reports that the Cardinals are in the market for a veteran quarterback to compete with Leinart and are likely to draft a quarterback too.

Brian St. Pierre?!? he has only had 2 completions of 5 attempts since 2003 how is that competition? get Culpepper, Pennington, Leftwich someone that can actually compete for the starting Job not a nobody to simply make Leinard look better,

I say go for McNabb......Makes us an offer for your 1st Round Pick

Sorry bug, I don't want McNabb. I say bring in a legit BACK-UP and let Matt run the show this year. Matt shouldn't need to throw 40+ times a game with the supporting cast he has. Matt's price tag gets REAL expensive in 2011 so I want him to have every opportunity to prove whether or not he is worth it.

I agree with WD, bring in someone that can step into the roll if Leinart can't get it done, but make sure you do give Leinart one last opportunity.
