Scott Pioli Confirms Chiefs QB Matt Cassel Is The Starter In 2010

Discussion in 'Kansas City Chiefs' started by BigBlueBruiser, Feb 25, 2010.

  1. At The Scouting Combine in Indianapolis on Thursday, General Manager Scott Pioli said the Chiefs aren't in the market for a quarterback and that starter Matt Cassel is their man. Cassel was rumored to be on the hot seat after Kansas City traded the #34 overall pick to New England to acquire him in 2009 if he didn't start winning. Cassel is set to make $11.75 million in base salary in 2010, which is among the top three for QB's, behind Peyton Manning of Indianapolis and Brett Favre of Minnesota.
