Kevin Acee of The San Diego Union-Tribune was told going into this week that the action on Chargers cornerback Antonio Cromartie would heat up at the Combine, where the behind-the-scenes wheeling and dealing is even more rapid than the 40 times and cone drills run inside Lucas Oil Stadium. Acee heard this morning that the Chargers are talking to teams and terms are being discussed in regards to the cornerback. There are a lot of complications to doing a deal within the current labor environment, but what Acee is hearing makes him think a deal for Cromartie will get done at some point and sooner rather than later. Why do they want to trade him anyway? He is a beast and you can get a starting running back in the draft.
Because he is the definition of lazy and he doesn't even know how to be a man...he has like 7 kids with 6 women in 5 different states...and is 25,000 behind in child support... His hussle and heart have been in question also... Do you still wonder why the Chargers want to get rid of him?
But he had 10 picks in 2007 or something as a NCB, so that should make everybody forget the fact that he hasnt even sniffed that since then Sometimes buzz and hype just go on for too long
Oh...I agree...he had a great year and was a monster playmaker...but since that year he really hasn't done much. Or people fall in love with him because he is a beast on Madden or something. If he would keep his nose clean, stop getting his rod wet, and work his butt off he has the potential to be great.
Funny thing is alot of people lol'd when people compared his cousin to him. Now his cousin is close to an All Pro Cro can still get there, and even now I may still call him a quality starter (he isnt perfect but there is alot of trash teams are rolling out at the position these day's), but he is also a guy I can see being a "coaster", a guy that will get by on his supreme athletisim
Outside of Max Unger, Lofa Tatupu, Aaron Curry and John Carlson I think I'd trade any player we have for Cromartie.
