At least one of the Dolphins’ four unrestricted free agents won’t return in 2010. Nickel cornerback Nate Jones “won’t be back†with the Dolphins, a league source said this week during the NFL Scouting Combine. That means the Dolphins will be without their leading special teams tackler from a year ago and a player who gave them 37 tackles, two interceptions and 10 passes defensed in 2009. Not surprising, to be honest. Jason Allen did a better job than Jones in the slot when he was given the opportunity, even going so far as to basically neutralize Welker and he even covered Moss effectively when he had to.
