Head coach Lovie Smith said the Bears need a veteran safety, and they are set to make a serious run at the Cardinals' Antrel Rolle, who is expected to be released this week. Other possibilities include Kerry Rhodes of the Jets, Ryan Clark of the Steelers and Michael Huff of the Raiders. Rhodes and Huff would have to be released, while Clark will be an unrestricted free agent if the Steelers don't re-sign him.

Wow, there are some good ones out there too. If they don't even try to sign one of them, the front office is indeed freaking morons, not that they proved that before though. They know they need help in the secondary.

Bears have no choice but to look to free agency considering they have literally thrown away picks.

The Bears are in decline, only the lack of draft picks (and bad picks made with the ones they still had) is accelerating it.
