While it's not one of their more pressing needs, the Lions still need a backup quarterback for Matthew Stafford via free agency or the draft. The Lions likely aren't interested in re-signing 11-year veteran Daunte Culpepper for another season despite Lions general manager Martin Mayhew saying he wouldn't be against bringing Culpepper back as a backup. This season's free-agent quarterback class is weak, which helps Culpepper's chances of hooking on with someone else.

Not a pressing need? Stafford was out for like 5 games last year. Yeah, get Delhomme or someone of that nature.
