Jaguars QB David Garrard To Seek Advice From Colts QB Peyton Manning

Discussion in 'Jacksonville Jaguars' started by BigBlueBruiser, Mar 12, 2010.

  1. Jaguars owner Wayne Weaver suggested at the end of the year that quarterback David Garrard needs to emulate Colts quarterback Peyton Manning and improve his work habits. Garrard took that to heart and said he’s gotten Manning’s phone number and plans to call him for some tips on his training regimen. “I do believe Peyton Manning is doing more than I’m doing or things I haven’t thought of doing before,†Garrard said. “It’s allowing him to be the player he is. I really believe when you are labeled the hardest-working guy in the film room, there’s some truth to that. That’s an area I can do better at myself. I’ve got the physical gifts. That’s not the issue. The issue is knowing what the defense is going to do.†Garrard said he’s already spending more time in the film room and also had no problem with Weaver’s comments about Manning.

I think Peyton is willing to help anybody, seems like the kind of guy that, you know, likes competition.
