49ers Likely To Draft An Offensive Tackle In The First Round?

Discussion in 'San Francisco 49ers' started by BigBlueBruiser, Mar 21, 2010.

  1. After the 49ers lost UFA OT Tony Pashos to the Browns, team insiders seem more convinced than ever that at least one of the team's two first-round draft picks will be spent on an offensive lineman who could quickly figure in the starting mix.

Trent Williams or Bulaga please!!! And please no CJ Spiller. Much Rather make a play for Leon Washington (less durability concerns, and already established in the pros as a dangerous guy). I'd like to see them def grab a cb and great pass rusher (either lb or de).

Id much rather draft a rb then give up picks for leon. Grab best in the second. Really that team needs to pick up a couple of starters for that oline they were just dreadful, especially out 2nd round guards baas and rachal.

I like Best a lot too! I don't think with our more pressing needs we should be grabbing spiller in the top 20. I think he's worthy of going top 20, but I'd rather we went OL with both picks in the 1st if there are 2 great ones still there. If not OL with #17 then a db or de/lb would be great. Even trading back for more picks in 2nd round would be cool.

I really like Derrick Morgan for SF. Very good strong side coversion prospect

As far as OL think it about this too......You guys are mostly to go RT if you draft OL in the first. With Ciron Black and Calloway you can get an instant starter in the 2nd or 3rd round

Get Morgan with the first 1st, get Spiller with the 2nd first. Take your cousin in the 2nd, and get Calloway or Black in the third.

With your first four picks you just got 2 key starters, a skill player who can score anytime he has the ball, and a CB who should at least be a NCB next year (basically a starter)
