Sal Paolantonio of ESPN reports the Philadelphia Eagles look like they are going to trade quarterback Donovan McNabb if they get a good offer. Paolantonio says they need to have this figured out by the end of the draft or it's going to cause a rift in the locker room. Paolantonio pointed out that the Eagles made McNabb "the lamest of lame duck quarterbacks," alienated him, and "undermined his moral authority in the locker room" by not extending his contract beyond 2010 while entertaining trade talks. so what makes people think that the locker room will be a land of oz if you have three qb's in the last year of their contracts that all want to start ?
i'm not saying this is why they have to trade mcnabb, they have to trade him because it's time. but there's no way there wouldn't be some issues if all three are here for 2010.
It doesn't have the flavour of a Brett Favre saga but still, it's interesting to follow... :new_popcornsmiley:
meh, wouldn't be anything major IMO but it's better if we move one of the qb's and better yet that worthless crap wearing #7 as well.
No. They need to trade him for two reasons. 1. He is not the future of the Eagles. 2. The Eagles would be dumb to not get some value for him while they still can, especially when the future is waiting in the wings.
