In case you haven't already heard, the 49ers are in the market for an offensive tackle with one of their two first-round draft picks. Anthony Davis of Rutgers is scheduled to visit and workout for the 49ers on Thursday, reports the Asbury Park Press. "I'm looking forward to that," said Davis. "For now I'm just going to keep working out, staying in shape, staying out of trouble. I'm the best tackle in the draft basically. That's my goal when I'm doing these workouts. That's what I'm trying to show coaches." Source: Press Democrat
Davis really has to show the dedication to preparation for me. All I've read is he isn't the most motivated person when it comes to film study and conditioning
Personally I think Davis is by far the best lineman the 49ers could pick where they are. He is suited to play RT, and is skilled enough to be a very good LT. Williams and Brown dont give you that flexability
Yeah it is tough picking where we are, I just don't want us to reach for a guy like Davis just because he can play a couple spots.
He is stock is kinda like Dez Bryants. It's all over the place. Was at one time a Top 10 pick, but he has character issues that people think are gonna drop him
