According to two people close to Donovan McNabb, the Pro Bowl Philadelphia Eagles quarterback has his sights set on one day playing for the Arizona Cardinals. McNabb, who has made his offseason home in Phoenix, hoped that day would come this season if Philly indeed sends him packing. The Cardinals even inquired with the Eagles about a trade before signing Derek Anderson to compete with Leinart for Kurt Warner's old job. Source: Yahoo! Sports
At the same time, no team is going to take him if he's not going to rework his contract. Oakland and Buffalo for one, he doesn't want to play for them and won't adjust his contract, meaning (As we all know) he'll walk after one season. Eventually landing in Arizona or Minnesota, because one of those spots is bound to be wide open in 2011.
Maybe a McNabb for Leinart deal and a draft pick. Then, Leinart can be the highest paid 3rd stringer behind Kolb and Vick.
