Taylor Mays' Pro Day Was HORRiBLE!!

Taylor Mays did not improve in the position drills after poor showings at the Senior Bowl and combine. He was stiff, practiced upright and looked very robotic in his movements. Mays looked uneasy and off balance breaking to the ball. He struggled changing direction at full speed and was asked to repeat drills on a few occasions.

As was the case earlier this year, several scouts repeated that they think a move to linebacker is in the offing for Mays. Scouts are starting to compare Mays to former Dallas Cowboys first round pick Roy Williams; an oversized college safety with poor skills in pass coverage.

 

i heard he was pretty fluid and looked half decent in positional drills lol

 

funny that i just seen a page saying how he had a pretty good Pro Day...

The OP must be a drama queen...I can post a video from the NFL channel that states he did fine, not great, but fine.

Taylor chose not to run the 40, maybe so the crazy fool in Oakland will draft some other poor victim who runs an outstanding 40 time for his size to that thug team.

Mr. HORRIBLE will drop no lower than the second round. Hopefully the Crypt Keeper will make another horrendously stupid pick and bring down that franchise till it no longer exists.

id take mays in the second round all day, no question and would be thrilled. in the first i might just off myself

 

NFL Network and ESPN are paid to HYPE up certain players. Taylor Mays, Sam Bradford, Dez Bryant, Tim Tebow, Colt McCoy, Ndamukong Suh, Russell Okung, (and now Jimmy Clausen.)

I like Taylor Mays - but the "Coverage" Cloud still looms over him because he didn't perform all that well at his Pro Day. The sad thing is that Al Davis WiLL still draft Taylor Mays reguardless of his problems in coverage.

the guy never made any plays at usc his senior year. the only thing i remember is seeing him chasing other receivers down field....he will be an NFL bust for sure.
