1st- Terrence Cody: Adds new dimensions to our defense. His presence on our roster would essentially create a whole another defensive line lineup to go with the one we have. Cody would allow us to play a standared Wade Phillips defensive line with the DE's lined up on or outside the OT like he did In Buffalo and San Diego. You can have a Spears/Ratliff/Igor set and a Ratliff/Cody/Bowen or Hatcher set with Rat and Bowen on or outside the OT

2nd- Vladimir Ducasse- Good OG prospect with lots of upside. Even tho is is a bit green, with Hudson Hawk on staff, he should be able to take over LG in 2011 when Koiser's deal runs out. Talk is that Brewster is being groomed at RT, so that almost eliminates the possibity of a OT early

3rd- Jacoby Ford: A little bit more of a developmental player than Shipley, but Ford has the upside to be an top player, and would be an instant weapon on ST and as a 4th WR

4th- (trade up to the op of the round for 6th): Akwasi Owusu-Ansah: We are gonna miss out on Allen and Burnett, but long term AOA may be better than both. Is a bit green, but has the skill to play CB or FS in the NFL. Great ball skins and man coverage ability. I see him as a FS

7th- Clifton Geathers: Him and Al Woods both have the makings of a potenital "Jay Ratliff" type steal for a 3-4 team on the defensive line. However its looking like Woods could be a mid rounder, Geather's still looks like a late rounder. Great ability, but only logged 13 starts and needs more coaching. Comes from an NFL familiy and has star potenital

Why draft a kicker when Tiffen and the is probobly the only draftable kicker and he probably wont get drafted

at least you are reconizing duccasse as a guard prospect.

cody would be sick on either the cowboys or ravens...imo his best 2 landing spots

    no way in hell
    Akwasi Owusu-Ansah lasts that long

I see AOA as this years Sidbury. Insane athelet that will get alot of pub, but too raw for a team to take high.. Sidbury was considered by some to be a possible second last year and went in the 5th IIRC

AOA could very well go in the second, IMO he is one of the more interesting prospects this year, but I think ultimatly he is gonna be too raw to jump DB's like Allen, Burnett, Ghee, Wright that will go in the second to early third

I understand people wanting Cody I just do not think Dallas views that as big enough of a need to use a first round pick on. I think Dallas would go FS, OL. CB or WR before they go NT. I think Dallas will also go with a TE or FB in the later rounds if not both.

I think Dallas is gonna go straight up BPA. We typically dont look for instant starters in the first. Whichever top 15 falls to us, we will take IMO

For now Im going with Cody. Phillips has always had a "Terrence Cody", he has just never had one available here. There isnt alot of or any Terrence Cody talk on the Cowboy front other than from dipcraps like me, but it would surprise me if he hasent caught the eye of a guy thats rolled with Ted Washington and Jammal Williams

I am not going to say that they will not draft him but I do not think he is a first round player. I would go so far and say he and Brandon Spikes might end up as day 3 picks, that right I said DAY THREE picks. Cody is a big guy and would fit well in a 3-4 front but Dallas does not run the standard 3-4 Wade likes to have his NG being able to move around not just take up space. Cody even in college was part of a rotation and will have to do the same in the NFL he does not have the stamina to hold up long if he was a starter. That and the fact that even in a 3-4 defense he would have to taken out on passing downs cut down on the amount of snaps he can play during a game. I think teams will see him as a specialist and draft him accordingly.

I would love Spikes in day 3, wouldnt take him higher than the 4th. really dont see a big market for him as he is prolly just gonna be a 3-4 Mike in the NFL. He will be a very good one, but I dont see him being able to play anywhere else.

I think he is gonna be a James clone in the NFL, and we dont have a true James backup

id still take spikes in the second, 3rd without a doubt

    If I was a 3-4 team without a Mike I would

Here I wouldnt take him before the 4th

We will NOT draft Terrence Cody in the first round. It is ridiculous to even think we would. The team liked what Bowen and Hatcher did last year. On top of that we have Ratliff, Spears, and Olshansky. Our D-Line is ok...it would be insane to draft for our front 7 on D. We will draft offensive line or safety with our first pick...bank on it.

Keep in mind we only have two DL under contract after 2010, and out of Spears, Hatcher, Bowen whoever we retain we will have to overpay.

Also, if something happens to Ratliff our defense is bottom 10, thats how shallow we are.

The thing with OL and Safety is that the quality will be long gone at 27. Davis, Brown, Iupati, Pouncey, will Thomas will be long gone by pick 27.

It is definatly not ridiculous to think we would draft Cody. People forget that Phillips is a guy that favors huge NT's. He had Washington in Denver and Buffalo and Williams in SD

charles brown may not be long gone by then.

    taylor mays....its gonna happen

Mays is no different from the SS we couldnt hide anymore other than the fact that Mays is fast and cant tackle

    **********Automerged Doublepost**********

And Williams actually had ball skills

    **********Automerged Doublepost**********

I really think he is gonna go higher than people think. Best pass blocker in the draft. Can protect a QB's blind side right now, and has the body to get stronger and be a better all around LT. I can see him going with Seattles 2nd first
