49ers QB Alex Smith Looks Heavier At OTA's

Niners QB Alex Smith reportedly looked bigger and thicker at the start of the team's OTAs last Monday. But team insiders tell Pro Football weekly Smith has routinely gained weight early in the offseason the last couple of years, only to gradually lose it once the regular-season campaign kicked in.

the fact that the 49ers are, supposedly, not in the mix for mcnabb makes them deserve to lose. you have an up and coming offense and a defense that isn't the worst in the league. you add mcnabb, boom, you are the nfc west division winner this year
