Red Sox ace Josh Beckett agreed to a $68 millon, four-year contract extension through the 2014, solidifying one of baseball's best rotations. The former World Series MVP and Cy Young Award runner-up said he did not press for a fifth year like the Red Sox gave free agent John Lackey because he was happy to stay with a team that will be competitive.

As much as I would hate to say it. This was a great move by the Red Sox. and a Big Pay Day for Josh

It's great for both parties. I am a big Josh Beckett fan (since he started with my Marlins) and I'm happy for him.
