We heard from Deion Sanders on Thursday for the first time since the trade of Donovan McNabb. Deion gets straight to the point, and here's what he had to say: "First of all, I gathered myself, and sat down," Sanders said. "Because I couldn't believe that this was the dumbest thing I've ever heard in my entire life, except for that Herschel Walker shebacle many years ago." Yes, Deion officially introduced the word "shebacle" to the NFL Network vernacular, to the amusement of network producers. Click the link to watch the video... Damn... and we all know how profound and intelligent Deion is, so if Deion doesn't approve, we're in trouble.
I always hated him hes a jackass and has always sucked mcnabbs rod even when he was in philly he always told him he probably wants to be traded
i want to be mad at him but i can't help but laugh at his inability to not look like a freaking idiot.
My take on the whole thing: Delighted to have McNabb, I've wanted a new QB for some time and I was all set to see the franchise go for a rookie but McNabb can help this team win pretty quick and he has some left in the tank. The Eagles with this move and the trading and release of some other veterans may take a step back in 2010 as Kolb will have to take his lumps at times and it's going to be a young roster with 11 draft picks to add yet but the Eagles are proven at drafting well and judging when to get rid of veterans so I wouldn't be too quick to knock their judgment. The real test of this trade is where both teams are in 2-3 years times. If the Redskins have managed to have some immediate success with McNabb at the helm they'll be happy. If they have continued to struggle and McNabb is either riding the pine or gone then obviously they have not done well out of it. For the Eagles, if Kolb is progressing well and this years draft crop is contributing then they'll be happy with what they have done and if those two things happen the team should be having reasonable success. As a Redskins fan, my one concern is the veterans added, I have no objection to them but I wanted to see solid drafting behind them in order to have ready made replacements down the line. So far Bruce Allen is showing that the apple hasn't fallen too far from the tree.
