    my first game at the stadium was in 1977 on a monday night against the st. louis cardinals. They lost 21-17 and felt really bad that whole week.

    It was an Epic Thanksgiving Day Failure...I can't believe you've never seen it. It's up there with his Super Bowl Blunder...not quite as big, but on the National Stage.

    I didn't have access to watch anything but the Chiefs games during that period of time, guess it just slipped through the cracks during the years...

    They didn't waste any time demolishing that stadium. Meanwhile the Astrodome sits around virtually unused for almost 15 years. Mostly because people can't agree on what to do with it.
