According to Adam Schefter on the Mike and Mike in the Morning show, Brandon Marshall will be traded later today to the Miami Dolphins for a 2nd round pick and a possible 2nd round pick in 2011. The league will need to approve the paperwork and Marshall will need to pass his physical. So, assuming all goes well, the trade will be official. **********Automerged Doublepost********** DONE DEAL! Dolphins acquire Marshall from Denver The Denver Broncos have traded wide receiver Brandon Marshall to the Miami Dolphins for two second-round picks, according to a league source. Marshall, who was a restricted free agent, had signed his $2.521 million tender from the Broncos on Tuesday, a move that facilitated the trade of the mercurial receiver. I'm loving this move! We finally have a #1 receiver (if he can keep his head on straight!) that can be a difference maker.
Yes, the move is great for the Fins. Now we have B.Marshall, D.Bess and B.Hartline with G.Camarillo/T.Ginn/P.Turner backing them up. Amazing how one very good receiver can make the WR corp that much better. Bess and Hartline will not be focused on by defenses, so we'll be able to do good things overall. Now, all we need is to upgrade to a better pass-catching TE and we'll have a VERY strong offense!
Congrats Dolphins fans **********Automerged Doublepost********** Really a perfect fit for you guys, Bess will eat people up underneath(already has but will even more so). Hartline could break out with all the attention B-Marsh will get.
Congrats 'Fins fans. And props to you A.V. for getting this out there as quickly as you did. Thats always a big plus around here. :icon_cool:
This a a great deal for Miami, getting one of the best receivers in the game for a bargain basement price. but, it is also good for the Chiefs, Chargers and Raiders. Denver just lost their best player for two second round picks that Josh Mishandles will waste on blocking tight ends (twinky Quinn), nickel corners (Alphonso Smith) or defensive players that don't fit his scheme (Robert Ayers). Denver just got a whole lot worse.
Hope dude can keep his hands free of cuffs living and working and the biggest party city in the nation. If so, it's a great move.
LOVE IT! I'm a big fan of character, but this guy just wanted paid. And the Phins have needed a WR of this caliber for so long that I'm embracing this deal open armed.
