Cowboys, 49ers Talking Draft-Day Deal For The No. 13 Pick?

Discussion in 'Dallas Cowboys' started by BigBlueBruiser, Apr 21, 2010.

  1. The Santa Rosa Press-Democrat mentions in a blog post that the buzz in the Bay Area is that the Cowboys are talking trade with the San Francisco 49ers. The target for is Texas' Earl Thomas, a playmaking safety who would be a perfect fit for the Cowboys. The Press-Democrat speculates that the deal could get done if the Cowboys give up their top three picks (Nos. 27, 59 and 90).

im sure youd like that...........man idk about this

  7. Well, the trade would certainly eliminate any possibility of Jimmy Clausen being selected by the 49ers with the No. 13 pick.

There's a chance Thomas isn't there so I think this is premature. I'd be more likely to believe a target like Mays who is much more likely to be there for sure at that selection.

I don't like it at all. I'll take the player, but that price is just too much.

I'm sure the Dolphins would take less and get #12. But either way this isn't a good idea for the Cowboys, but lately Jones hasn't done much in the lines of good descisions when he "falls" for a player.

Demarcus Ware and Felix Jones have been pretty good choices..

Ware was Parcells, Jones is great if he stays healthy. But I was referring to Jerry and is latest use of his draft picks.

I thought Parcells wanted Merriman but was over ruled by Jones to pick Ware.

Gotta pay to play! 6 picks in 3 rounds would be great for SF especially now since the draft is so deep.

I would love to see this deal happen but the price is to steep. They should do it if a couple of players are involved minus the second and third round picks.

This is a great draft to be trading down in. If that's a real offer on the table from Dallas, I wouldn't hesitate if I was the 49ers. Not for a hot second. They'd still have 17 as well as being able to stay in the low first and get another second and 3rd? That would be absolute rape considering the talent in this draft, and I don't care who the Boys would get with 13.

I think the cowboys will wait to see if Earl Thomas is still on the board at 13 then they will pull the trigger. If he's gone then the deal or deals will be pulled from the table.

I will be at the cowboys draft watch party at the new stadium any of the cowboys fans will be there.
