The Jacksonville Jaguars agreed to trade defensive end Quentin Groves to the Oakland Raiders on Wednesday, pending a physical, for an undisclosed draft pick. Groves discussed the deal on Twitter, writing: "Duval County....I LOVE U GUYS...thanks for all your support...New Starts(equals)New Beginnings...OAKLAND HERE I COME!!!!" Groves, a second-round pick in 2008, hasn't made an impact in his two NFL seasons. The former Auburn star had just 2.5 sacks in 32 games as the Jaguars struggled to pressure opposing quarterbacks and was demoted from starter to third-teamer. Source: NFL.com
Adam Schefter reports that the Raiders sent a fifth round draft pick for Groves. Adam Schefter: Twitter.com
The insider was probably out to lunch.... I was hoping to get that 5 included in the deal for Ben. Not a terrible deal for the Raiders.
Raiders have 2 5th rounders, so you still might, although Adam Schefter has reported that Oakland said no to Ben
