The Minnesota Vikings are believed to be a virtual lock to select a quarterback with the 34th overall pick in the NFL Draft, writes Chris Brown, of BuffaloBills.com. Many believe they will take Notre Dame QB Jimmy Clausen. If another team wants to make sure they are able to land a quarterback of their choice, they would have to work out a deal with the St. Louis Rams, who own the 33rd overall pick in the NFL Draft. its funny that alex smith went first and rodgers slipped and was picked to replace favre 5 years ago now sam bradford, an alex smith clone went #1 and clausen who imo was clearly better is going to be drafted to replace favre 5 year later lol
yeah unless someone wants to sell their sould for the rams pick, i think clausen to the vikes is a lock and dont think he could land in a better situation
i know its just ironic. rodgers was replacing an old QB, clausen (probably) will be replacing a really old QB 5 years later
hopefully vikings can get him...... Farve might come back this year but wont be around much longer...... get a QB now and get him some experiance
I doubt the Rams will even get many offers - not many people are interested in Clausen. Lucky you, Minnesota. But with all the good value available right now, I'd be a bit surprised if the Vikings bother with the guy - but if they do, it'll be the best situation he has to succeed in the NFL. I also wouldn't be shocked if Colt Mccoy gets drafted ahead of Clausen, simply because, Colt Mccoy is the better prospect - but again, with that said, I can see a team jumping the gun early and taking Clausen......... I wouldn't.
Yea i guess clausen would b a good pick up for us, but we need some depth in the secondary a lot more than a qb
