Jeff Feagles, the Giants incumbent, 44-year-old punter spoke to Tom Coughlin last week and told the Giants coach that he’s reconsidering his decision to play one more season. Feagles is apparently suffering some “physical issues” and Coughlin said he isn’t sure Feagles can keep playing. Feagles is expected to inform the Giants of his final decision in the next few days. Feagles had a fantastic 22 year career in the NFL. One of the greatest punters in NFL history. He may or may not get in the HOF but will go down as the best directional punter that ever played the game. He made a living pinning opposing teams from inside the 20. Feags holds virtually all of the major statistical punting records in NFL history: Punting Yards (71,211), Punts Inside the 20 (497) and Most Punts (1,713). Also holds the most consecutive games played streak (352). One of my favorite punters besides Sean Landeta. Have a great retirement Jeff. Thanks for all your years of service. :icon_cool:
GOOD! I'm sick of hearing Merrill Reese says "Former Eagle Jeff Feagles" EVERY TIME THE GIANTS PUNTED!!!! I love Merrill but my god he thought that little poem was funny.
