Traded to the Jacksonville Jaguars from the Oakland Raiders during the draft in exchange for a fourth-round pick with a fifth-rounder going to Jacksonville, veteran middle linebacker Kirk Morrison is excited about his change of scenery. Morrison led the Raiders in tackles for five consecutive years, but became expendable once the team drafted Alabama linebacker Rolando McClain, the Butkus Award winner. “I felt my time had come," Morrison said. "I knew opportunity was going to come for me somewhere else. They made a decision and that decision was to go in a different direction. I’ve been productive. It didn’t work out. I couldn’t be happier that I’m moving to a different organization. They’re going to give me the opportunity to lead this team."
