New Raiders QB Jason Campbell said Saturday that he considers himself the new Oakland starter but Raiders coach Tom Cable isn't quite ready to make the same pronouncement. Cable said this weekend that he's not ready to write off former No. 1 overall pick JaMarcus Russell, Russell can compete for the starting QB job with Campbell and Bruce Gradkowski with Kyle Boller and Charlie Frye are also on the Raiders' roster: "What it comes down to is that we've got five quarterbacks now and we're going to have a great competition. There will be some decisions to be made here in the next month or so." One of those decisions could be whether Russell -- and his hefty contract -- remains on the roster and if Russell were to get hurt during a Raiders practice in the offseason or preseason, his full salary would be guaranteed. There is no way in hell that Russell will be the starter on opening day next year. Campbell is way too talented to be outdone buy Jamarsuck.
This guy couldn't start in my Saturday pick up games! WTF is Cable talking about? Just shut up and let me enjoy our 1st good draft in years. The Raiders are like a hot woman with an annoying laugh and bad breath. Just shut your mouth please Raiders. Shhhhhh...ah....zip it...zip..z...
