John Clayton just said on ESPN's "NFL Live" that the Raiders are preparing the process of cutting quarterback JaMarcus Russell. Clayton said it is not a matter of if, but when Russell will be cut. He also said the team could release Russell before Oakland's minicamp, which runs Friday through Sunday, and that there is no trade market for him. Source: ESPN.com
It'd be best to pay him the $3M and let him walk. If the Raiders are smart, they don't let him anywhere near the upcoming mini-camp...just think if he got injured...lol... No need to necessarily cut him yet, but tell him he's not invited to mini-camp...
Wow what a bust...there is debate whether or not Alex Smith is a bust but at least our qb is busting his but and staying in shape. Russell doesnt even care.
I have to believe that there was a "helping hand" in the way the team has been making decisions. You have to admit The Raiders have made some good decisions... If you take into account the last couple years I'd go so far as to call them Great decisions.
finally cut his butt and send him to the ufl **********Automerged Doublepost********** yea i don't believe that al is calling these shots lately
He just loves skittles too much. And I can't be mad at him, skittles are freaking delicious but they're keeping him off the field. **********Automerged Doublepost********** http://i292.photobucket.com/albums/mm35/phumble/jrcopy-1.jpg
They say Chuck Norris' tears can cure all the diseases in the world as well as cure world hunger........ To bad Chuck Norris doesn't cry.:icon_cheesygrin: It's about time for Russel to get cut, at least the Raiders have a capable QB in Campbell.
The saddest part is all the money he's gotten out of this gigantic waste of a contract, he's already eaten up. :icon_frown:
