University of Oregon running back LeGarrette Blount has decided to sign a free agent deal with the Tennessee Titans on Monday, according to a league source with knowledge of the situation. After going undrafted, Blount had originally agreed to terms with the San Francisco 49ers but after talking the decision over with his family and Titans coach Jeff Fisher, Blount decided that his best opportunity was in Tennessee. Per a source, Blount has respectfully explained his decision to 49ers coach Mike Singletary and is on good terms with him. Source: National Football Post
He has a better chance to play with the Titans. In Frisco he is behind Gore and Coffee, both are similar power runners.
Not to mention being behind Anthony Dixon who was drafted by the 49ers as well. I like the move to go to Tennessee. Ringer isn't a banger and LenDale White is gone.

I didn't see any new controversy, in fact the article says that he and singletary are on good terms implying that there is less controversy.
titans have a far less stacked backfield then san fran dude would have no chance at carries in san fran behind gore coffee and robinson
I don't blame him. There is already an established back up in SF and they also drafted Dixon, it would be hard to make the team in SF.
I think it's more about the principal that he basically gave the Niners the middle finger after commiting to them. Blount certainly doesn't make it easy for himself that's for sure.
