At some point this offseason, the Patriots, much like the Colts with QB Peyton Manning, will have to pay their franchise quarterback, Tom Brady, at a commensurate level. The guaranteed money could be dizzying, somewhere in the $16-Million-to-$20-Million range per season and Brady has already has collected a $3 Million roster bonus in early March, so it was clear the Patriots did not want to rush a new deal just to save some money on the front end. Despite some uncharacteristic mistakes in crucial situations last season by Brady, a contract extension for the QB remains the highest priority for the Patriots this offseason once the draft is in the rearview mirror. I really can't see the Patriots re-signing him to a long term deal even if he bounces back. With the stacked QB class next year ( :( ) and being two years removed from injury, it's a make or break year for Brady.
Manning will never leave the Colts, bank on that. Brady however will leave the Pats at some point probably after his next contract. Pats will draft a qb next year and that person will be Brady's replacement.
Manning and Brady are going to stay put...I can see how people can think that they would leave though because of what happened in San Fran with Montana, but unless one of them has someone like Steve Young behind them, they ain't going anywhere.
