According to ESPN's John Clayton, St. Louis Rams rookie quarterback Sam Bradford showed enough at minicamp to compete for the Week 1 starting job. With an expected $50 million guaranteed commitment, the Rams will want him to play as soon as possible. He should be the favorite to start over A.J. Feeley as long as he doesn't fall apart in preseason action. Source: John Clayton, ESPN
Makes me sigh thinking back when I said Stafford would need to be sat for two years to be successful. In comparison, Bradford should be sat for the next twenty years. @Marty: Our O-Line is actually starting to make some strides. They wern't complete horsecrap last year, Bulger just made them look a lot worse.
i actually think it's smarter to give rookie QB's some time on the sidelines to learn the game, study the defensive schemes in the league, and watch the speed of it for a while before throwing them to the wolves. it 'can' work to throw them in there right away (aikman/p.manning/etc) but i think the chances of success go up if you give them time to learn and adjust.
