The St. Louis Rams and Dallas Cowboys are reportedly discussing a swap of offensive tackle Alex Barron for linebacker Bobby Carpenter. Both players have been on the trading block since the season ended. Cowboys second-rounder Sean Lee is ready to step into Carpenter's role and Rams second-rounder Rodger Saffold would take Barron's starting job.

Not a fan of Barron, but this would be a good trade. he would give us some Vet depth at OT, and clear up a log jam at ILB

Carpenter could be a good 4-3 LB, long run this could look like a terrible trade on our part, but Barbie was never gonna do anything here

This would be a good deal for both teams. Not a blockbuster...but a solid trade for both teams. Maybe Houck can turn Barron into a player.

i think it's a fair deal for both sides ...... the funniest part of the trade is that barron is basically just a younger version of flozell ....... he has tons of talent but has mental lapses every game

Except Barron isnt a dominate Left Tackle

Thats one of the things people forget about Adams. Granted his play has declined the past two years to the to the point he is really only a borderline starter, but he was a dominate LT, and even the past two year, could erase any pass rusher in the NFL when he was on his game

  7. Who the heck is Alex Barron??????????

He was a first round pick 4-5 years ago out of Florida State I believe.

eh, i was always a fan of adams too (minus all the penalties) as a talented LT. However, remember that Barron is still fairly young and with proper coaching can get to that point of being a shutdown LT. there are a lot of LT's through history that really didn't start to dominate until their late 20's because it took them time to learn the position and get stronger and more skilled at that position, which is one of the hardest to master.

llol at arrowheads comment. This was a great trade for us, Carpenter is useless. Barron has some upside.
