Michael Lombardi of the National Football Post writes that the Hamilton Tiger-Cats of the Canadian Football League own the rights to former Raiders QB JaMarcus Russell, and if he were in their position, he would go to Mobile, Alabama, where Russell makes his home, and start recruiting him to resurrect his career in the CFL. Sources tell Lombardi that Russell will have a tough time finding a gig in the NFL -- maybe next offseason, but right now teams are moving forward with their players and seem unwilling to overlook the lack of dedication Russell displays. He'll have to do something, anything, to win fans back, and going to the CFL is a way to begin the process. Source: National Football Post
The CFL for JaMarcus Russell wouldn't shock me if he can't sign with an NFL team. Hell, it seems like he's got a better chance at signing with a team there.
Like I said before and i'll say it again. Russell's release from the Raiders better be a wake up call for his sake to save his career.
He's already been paid. How many more millions does he need? **********Automerged Doublepost********** Eh? What are you talkin' aboot?
