These new rules are in effect as of Saturday, May 8th at 11:30am PST: Members are not allowed to reproduce copyrighted content. You may discuss other websites’ content, but you may not post that content here word for word. Here are the guidelines when discussing articles from other websites. Preferred method is to just link to the article. Quoting from free public articles is allowed provided its not more than FIVE SENTENCES AT MOST and a link is provided to the source. (Direct quotes from another person are not included in the limit, quotes are not the intellectual property of the author) No direct quoting is allowed from articles that are part of any websites paid content or member only content.(like ESPN Insider) Never copy and paste a complete article to the forums. Any posts that break these guidelines will be edited and/or deleted at the staff's discretion. Members who break these rules are also subject to receiving a yellow card infraction.
Reporters need to also remember that you must at least post enough to fill 2 full lines so that the stories look right on the RSS feed. You can also add things like the previous teams the players were on or their accolades in college that fit into the story.
Awesome. Now I won't have to wrack my brain figuring out how to make 3 sentences define an entire story.
