At his ninth day of practice with the Redskins, quarterback Donovan McNabb said his recent apology for not winning a Super Bowl in Philadelphia was "from the heart". Meeting with reporters after practice, McNabb was asked about his apology to Philadelphia. "People at times tend to forget how passionate a player may be, when you put all that you have into it and you're not able to bring . . . something you worked hard to get to a city that truly loves what you do and how you go about it," he said. "Hopefully, people take it to heart. If they didn't, there's nothing much more I can do." Asked if he harbored any bitterness toward Philadelphia, McNabb said: "I don't. McNabb was in a no win situation based on the questions being asked. If he would have ignored them or said "no comment", it would have been twisted that he didn't mean what he said and had a problem with his time in Philadelphia as a whole. He's in a position that no matter what he says, or doesn't say, screws him either way as far as how the media or Eagles fans run with it.
