Jerry Jones Suggests Teams Such As Cleveland Hold Back NFL

I am assuming that Jerry was referring to how poor the Browns have been since re-entering the league. So if by Jerry's standards....teams that are poor quality for a number of years are holding back the league then shouldn't the league have given up on the Bucs....the Saints....for that matter the Patriots had some pretty poor years in the 70's.

oh....and I love to not like the Browns....but I do think they deserve a team as much as any other city in the league.

 

i know doug, just saying the NFL in the 70's vs today isn't even worth comparing.

 

Browns have been as successful as the Cowboys since they rentered the league

The NFL needs a secondary league, like it's the Premiere League and the bottom 2 teams get send down to that secondary league each year, and the top 2 from there come up. If you can't play with the big boys, play with the middleweights.

 

K Mush how about the Saints then? How long ago was it that they were still terrible? The Raiders are now pretty horrible too....do they hold back the league opr are they still a top seller in merchandise and apparel?

The only way it makes any sense is if he's talking about the value of the market. Al Lerner left Randy with plenty of money and it's not like he has a Bidwell reputation or anything. 3 of the 4 states that border Texas don't have teams, not to mention the size of texas. 3 of the 4 bigger cities close to Cleveland have teams.
