The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports Falcons WR Roddy White enters 2010 working on three straight years with at least 1,000 yards receiving, but White wants more yards and believes he can improve his yards after a catch. White led the team with 392 yards after catches last season, followed by Tony Gonzalez's 240. But White averaged just 4.6 after a catch and Gonzalez averaged 2.9. For receivers with more than 50 catches last season, Dallas WR Miles Austin led the league in YAC average at 7.6 yards. Green Bay's Greg Jennings was second at 7.1 and Philadelphia's DeSean Jackson was third at 6.8. "We can do a lot more of that," White said. "We are going to have to do a lot more of that. We have to break some more tackles, pick up some third downs and move the chains."

yes, there are things white and the falcons offense can improve on but i think roddy is one of the most underrated WR's in the game right now. dude is beast. he has complete skills for a WR and is a huge part of their offense. part of the problem with his YAC is that defenses started paying more attention to him after his rookie year. he's still getting open, getting key first downs, and scoring td's though so defenses can only hope to contain him ..........

seeing as my Saints play them twice a year I am aware of Rowdy Roddy White. He is ok but not one of the top receivers.

agree to disagree then because i think the guy is a complete receiver.

Roddy is pretty good. The key to getting him more yards is getting someone on the other side (Michael Jenkins isn't it)

yep, jenkins is not a solid #2. i think they were hoping that Gonzalez was going to be the guy to draw attention away from roddy but turner got hurt and ryan had a sophomore slump and the whole offense just didn't quite come together. If everyone stays healthy and Ryan improves, White will put up some sick numbers.

Don't get me started on that waste of cap space Jenkins.

Roddy has the tools to become a great WR, it took him a few years to learn what work it takes to maintain a job in the NFL.
