The Redskins have signed veteran wide receiver Mike Furrey and released four players including tight end Sean Ryan, the team announced on Wednesday. Also released were cornerback Marcus McCauley, linebacker Alvin Bowen and defensive lineman Antoine Holmes. Furrey, 6-0 and 195 pounds, has played both wide receiver and defensive back in his NFL career.

Best available WR = TO. Devin and Malcolm suck. Mike Furrey is horrible. Best option is TO. Moss, TO & Cooley beat the hell out of any other combo you can come up with.

You must have missed TO the past two years. He is done being a legit starting WR

Odd considering he was a Cowboy one of those years and your a Redskins fan

TO is done why waste time with him. Thomas at least has shown some potential and now the WR have some coaches that actually know what they are doing, they need a year (one where we won't be doing anything special regardless of the WR we have) to prove if they are good enough.

I'm beginning to think dude isn't a Redskins fan, just another member freaking around. If not, he has to be one of the dumbest people I've ever seen.

  8. oh please T.O. is still a great WR he just has some locker room concerns.

Only TO is finished. I don't buy into the crap about him being this evil guy who always causes crap in the locker room, but the last two seasons showed that his skills have regressed quite badly.

I don't like how people are raising their noses towards Mike Furrey, he's a bloody good possession receiver and real handy if needed in Special Teams and in D (Actually started the majority of a season at Free Safety for us a few years back and actually did a decent job). Sure he ain't the quick fix No.1 receiver the Redskins have been mindlessly persuing the last few years, but he's a decent part of the roster.

  10. I like the addition of Furrey.

TO isn't finished. He can still play. Not many have denied that. You can point at his numbers if you want but I will tell you the reasons for that: horrible QB play and even worse O.line play. Looking at stats TO still has much the same speed his YAC hasn't fallen from where it was during his best years.

Furrey caught 98 passes last time he was a starting WR.....I'm just saying. These other teams left me scratching my head when he was moved back to Defense

  12. In a Mike Martz offense.

TO wasnt any better last year than he was his last year with Dallas, in which one big game helped him finish with mediocre stats on one of the best offense's in football. In 2008 he couldnt get the separation needed to be a serviceable outside WR. At this point in his career he is a slot WR at best

TO is a joke, and he is another year older. what a crock of crap. What's funny is by the time the young WR's finally start to put it together, they are going to have to groom another QB. LOL

TO had 3 100 yard games in the past two years

Mike Simms Walker had 3 last year, isnt that good and plays for a crap offense
