Texans head coach Gary Kubiak said he has been impressed with DT Earl Mitchell during offseason workouts and believes that Mitchell can be part of the team's defensive line rotation this season, according to HoustonTexans.com's Nick Scufield. 'He's all about going to the ball and working hard. I think Earl's going to be a part of our rotation if he continues what he's doing in pads and what he's done throughout these OTAs. For him to become a part of our rotation, then that's pushing somebody's job, so he makes us very competitive within that group,' Kubiak said.

It's the 'he's still starting' part that's the problem.

JaMarcus Russell was starting some games last season...and I'm pretty sure everyone and their mother knew he was a bust.
