The knee injury that Domenik Hixon suffered at practice yesterday afternoon turned out to be far worse than anyone expected, the receiver/kick returner will miss the entire 2010 season after tearing the ACL in his right knee, according to the Giants. The team initially thought he had just hyper-extended his knee, but an MRI this afternoon revealed the rest of the damage, Hixon will undergo surgery sometime in the next 2-3 weeks, according to the team. Hixon hurt his knee during the Giants' practice inside their $1.7 billion stadium yesterday afternoon. While attempting to field a punt, his foot got caught in the FieldTurf, causing him to apparently twist his knee. He was able to jog off the field after yesterday's practice and nobody thought the injury was serious at all, but he was examined today by Dr. Russell Warren at Hospital of Special Surgery and then had an MRI that brought the bad news.
