Several days after Albert Haynesworth skipped a mandatory Redskins minicamp, the fallout continues with Redskins alumni piling on and even NFLPA president Kevin Maewae. According to Len Pasquarelli of ESPN.com, Albert Haynesworth is almost a certainty to be traded now. Pasquarelli believes likely destinations for Haynesworth are either Seattle or Oakland. The Raiders have been mentioned in the mix for Haynesworth previously as have the Titans and Lions because of the familiarity of Titans coach Jeff Fisher and Lions coach Jim Schwartz. well, if we believe that a trade is actually going to happen now, a few questions: 1) will the skins require the trade partner to pick up the $21 mill bonus they just paid? 2) how much can the skins expect to get? a 1st rounder? 3) will haynesworth eliminate certain teams even if they run a 4-3 because he's a diva and drag this whole process out?
Good christ our line would be insane. Really doubt there's any legs to him coming to OAK, I'm pretty tired of the fact that whenever a disgruntled players name comes up, the automatic reflex by writers is always "SHIP HIM TO OAKLAND!!".
don't rule the saints out..... http://gridironfans.com/forums/late...ints-redskins-agree-deal-ot-jammal-brown.html
Well the RAIDERS don't have a first rounder this year the pat's already own that. But heck that would be incredible
The Raiders would have legitimate Wild Card hopes if they landed Haynesworth. Oh no, I just said Raiders and Wild Card hopes in the same sentence. I'm gonna die...
i agree with the sentiments here. the raiders d-line would be sick if they added haynesworth. it would instantly improve their lb corps and we know their secondary is pretty good. if they could then get the offense going with campbell being the steadying influence, they could be o.k.
well, i don't think you were off base. the rumors said that the saints were inquiring about haynesworth even prior to the draft. the problem with haynesworth to the saints is that i don't think haynesworth would approve it. williams plays a lot of different defensive fronts and haynesworth would be expected to play NT quite a bit, which he is refusing to do.
Whos but freaking? Nah jp....problem is you bring him in, "Haynesworth to sit out preseason due to raiders only having 'glacier' flavored gatorade." Then again if he came back to his Tennesee form the raiders d would be really good just like a few years ago. Now if the offense can get going, and with russell gone it'll only get better, look out afc west. Watch both bay area teams take the west.
