Oakland Raiders veteran defensive end Richard Seymour has signed his exclusive rights franchise tender, a $12.398 million price tag. The team announced that Seymour signed the tender this afternoon. Seymour was named the Raiders' franchise player in February. The Raiders acquired Seymour from the New England Patriots in exchange for a 2011 first-round draft pick. In his first season in Oakland, Seymour started every game and recorded 47 tackles, four sacks and one forced fumble. "With this signing, all Raider veterans are under contract and the rookie process will begin soon," the team announced on its Twitter account.

  3. Seymour needs to go back to a 3-4 scheme. He isn't nearly as effective in a 4-3.
