The police investigation into Chad Jones' one-car crash last week is complete, and the former LSU football star and baseball player apparently will face no additional charges. Jones' 2010 Range Rover SUV crashed into a streetcar stanchion, totaling the SUV and causing severe damage to Jones' left leg, ankle and foot which required 7 1/2 hours of surgery to repair multiple fractures and a large gash on his left thigh. Jones was cited for careless operation of a motor vehicle, but a New Orleans Police spokeswoman has repeatedly said alcohol was not considered a factor in the crash. Officers at the scene were not able to administer a breathalyzer test because of Jones' injuries and when the police were sent to LSU Public Hospital to seek a sample for a blood-alcohol test, he was already in surgery. Huh. Well they are suggesting that there COULD have been alcohol but they weren't able to test him before he went into surgery. No breathalyzer, no proof. Glad he wasn't intoxicated or my whole tune would have changed on this.
Scarily enough, non-drinkers also have motoring accidents as well....'Guarantee' all you want but just because you know it to be true, doesn't make it actually true.
i've gotten my car tires in the grooves of the street car track and lost control in the same exact spot....not drunk. i can happen dude.
Police have completed their investigation into Chad Jones' car crash and the Giants rookie will not face any addition charges. Jones was cited for careless operation of a motor vehicle after crashing his Range Rover into a streetcar stanchion in New Orleans on Friday. The investigating officer has concluded that Jones "had not been drinking or taking any prescription, non-prescription or street drugs before or while operating a motor vehicle."
Alright, I am making an assumption, I don't know anything about the road or any of that crap, all I'm saying is usually when someone gets in a head on accident with ANYTHING. is crapfaced Having thought about it for a little bit, if he had been drunk he probably would have died from blood loss.
i wasn't busting your balls or anything. if i knew nothing about that road drugs or alcohol would be my first assumption too. granted....he was probably hauling butt though.
