Been watching him since his freshman year at Texas. Guy's a speedster but isn't afraid to lower the shoulder.
The word on the street about Charles when he was drafted was good change of pace back, but limited carries, possible home run threat, etc. I think he slightly surpassed those expectations. Sure, he does get injured a bit, but I think his toughness more than makes up for it. He broke a lot of tackles last year.
now that we have a workable O-line. i think he will be better. just have 2 keep working on that O-line though.
people seem to forget how awful he was the beginning of last year, he has girl hands and always has had fumbling issues. he wanst a good runner and he was even worse at returning, he exploded the last 8 games but that doesnt mean hes the second best RB in the nfl....christ, i love madden as much as the next guy but thats outrageous
Charles is a talented back and possibly the best in the AFC West, but now he is not sneaking up on any team, so this year could very well be a slight dissapointment.
our O-line will be better this year. he had 2 run around guys 2 get those yards. i think he will do better this year. but i am a :homer2:
Better to explode at the end of the season than be good at the beginning and then suck at the end. He was a different back in the 2nd half and there's no reason to believe it won't continue.
