Coach Josh McDaniels and Broncos quarterback Kyle Orton have said this offseason that WR Brandon Lloyd can be a reliable downfield threat. “I think I run every route like I’m the one getting the ball. That’s always my approach, and it’s my approach here,†Lloyd said. Some front-office executives were nervous about Lloyd when he was on the open market. He has clashed with coaching staffs in Washington and San Francisco and was suspended for one game by the Redskins in 2006 for throwing his helmet on the sideline during a game and arguing with an assistant coach. Former Redskins coach Joe Gibbs also once left him off a road trip for missing a meeting and he has also struggled to stay involved in the offense. He hasn’t had as many as four receptions in three consecutive games since 2004. “But I feel like I always work for my opportunities,†Lloyd said. “I prepare for the ball to come my way.†Source: Denver Post
At first mcdaniels looked like a genius, now i dont see how what hes doing is going to translate into sucess
he hired mike nolan as his d-coordinator at first and nolan's schemes won them some games early on last year .............. that's about the only thing i can point to at this time that was a smart move by mcdaniels .............. of course, then he proceeded to heck that up very quickly too so he ruined his one smart move ............. :icon_rolleyes:
