Chiefs linebacker Derrick Johnson had an up-and-down campaign in 2009, as he clashed with new head coach Todd Haley and was shuffled in and out of the lineup frequently. He closed the season out with a bang, though, returning two interceptions for touchdowns against the Denver Broncos in Week 17. Kent Babb of the Kansas City Star argues that solidifying Johnson's role -- and sticking with the decision -- will be vital to the Chiefs' success this season. By taking a sink-or-swim attitude, the team will be able to find out whether they can depend on Johnson as a cornerstone on defense moving forward. Johnson is on a one-year contract (he was a restricted free agent), and thus his future fortunes will be greatly determined by how productive he is in 2010. Source: Kansas City Star
I would hate to have that douche as my coach. I would love to have Johnson as one of our linebackers.
