Dallas Cowboys receiver Roy Williams can’t even get his 4-year-old son to carry his shoulder pads. “Man, I can’t get anybody to carry them,†Williams joked Monday. “I’m mad at him too.†A day after the drama created when first-round pick Dez Bryant refused to carry the veteran’s pads off the field after practice, a long-standing rookie ritual, Williams said it was “not a big deal†and that the teammates were fine with each other. Bryant didn’t comment while jogging off the field with cameramen and reporters following him. There are some who believe Bryant could challenge Williams for the starting job opposite Pro Bowl receiver Miles Austin. The rookie has been impressive in all four sessions so far, and during some post-practice drills Monday dunked the ball over the goalpost after catching a pass in the end zone. probobly something to the effect of what happened to Felix a couple years ago. They dumped something on his head from like 2 stories up or something
pac man dropped like a bucket of " water " on him.......... and on RW if wasnt a big deal why did he blab to the media
It is a rite of passage. Rookies will be hazed. Taped to the goal posts, dropped into a tub of ice water, asked to sing their college fight song, buy dinner, bring donuts in the morning, etc etc. It is only for one year, then the tide turns and it is your turn for the rest of your career. I do not care who you are, or think who you are. Go get me a 6 pack and a pint of whiskey you freaking rookie. And hurry up, I'm freaking thirsty. Prima Donna.
If it were anyone but RW, I'd care. Since it's RW, I really don't. Dez's clothes will end up in an ice bath at some point and the world will keep turning.
