The Oakland Raiders have announced they have signed linebacker Rolando McClain, their first-round pick in the NFL Draft. McClain was selected by the Raiders with the eighth overall pick out of Alabama, where he earned the Butkus Award as the nation's top linebacker and helped the Crimson Tide win the BCS National Championship. Terms on McClain's deal were not immediately available. Source: theredzone.org
i think the raiders feel they've got an anchor for their defense for many years. we'll see how good the kid is .....................
It's like 13 or so percent over last years, it's nothing crazy. **********Automerged Doublepost********** I know the fanbase has already got him starting over Willis on the all-pro team.
they still arent stingy with it regardless **********Automerged Doublepost********** i think mcclain should be a 34 but he was a good pick....a little bit overrated of a pick though because everyone says how great the raiders draft was but its always graded on a curve. if the browns took him it would have been an awful pick but since everyone was expecting a DHB-like disaster from the raiders they give it a good grade. the raiders draft being great happened in rounds 2-4, mcclain was just a good player without the value of the pick...but thats better than a bad player without the value of the pick like DHB
ill be happy if he is slightly better than morrison as long as he makes plays in the backfield from time to time, blow up a few screens and hits the right gaps not to mention bring a mean streak ill be happy
