Kansas City Chiefs first round draft pick Eric Berry has tweeted that his deal is now complete. "Bout to head to st. Joe!!!," Berry wrote before adding, "Aka the deals done!". No financial terms have been disclosed but it's likely to be a 6 year deal worth somewhere in the neighborhood of $55 million. The Chiefs have now signed all of their draft picks. Another reason NFL needs rookie salary control. Same with vernon davis, he didnt play one down but since he was picked 6th overall he instantly was made the highest paid TE the nfl.

yes, that's my point. the system is screwed up when rookies that have never played a snap are making more than proven veterans. the new CBA has to include a rookie salary cap and i think it's going to get done because these proven veterans MUST be getting pissed watching these toddlers make more than they do.

they were in same boat when they were rookies, vets watching them make more money they past players been happening for years so the vets need to put away there baby bottles and deal with it like all the players ahead of them. If they could get the same rookies contracts they would jump at it.
