Another day, another failed conditioning test for the Washington Redskins' Albert Haynesworth. The defensive lineman did not participate in Friday morning's practice after he could not pass the team's conditioning test imposed on him by coach Mike Shanahan. The Redskins announced that Haynesworth was running on the treadmill during practice with strength coach Ray Wright. Shanahan said Thursday night that Haynesworth, who didn't participate in the team's offseason program and angered the coach by skipping a mandatory minicamp in June, was the only player subjected to the test. He suggested that Haynesworth's troubles passing the conditioning test could last for a while. "Hopefully he'll get it done (Friday)," Shanahan said, "but it may take two or three days, it may take a week. I really don't know." Source: Sean Leahy, USA Today
I'm wondering if the heat is bothering him. I mean if he's been working out inside where he was it's definitely a big change. It's been freaking humid out here and hot. I'm a big guy and I always ran better in the cold than the heat, but then again I wasn't a football player who is expected to be in like 120% shape: This is what he's failing:
"COMMON HAYNESWORTH ONE PULLUP!!! ONE PULL UP COMMON!!! DO YOU MEAN TO TELL ME YOU CANNOT DO ONE SINGLE PULL UP??? YOU ARE A WORTHLESS PIECE OF CRAP HAYNESWORTH!!! GET OUTTA MY FACE!!!"
